Born in Brazil and raised in the United States from age twelve, Rafael served in the U.S. Army starting in 2008 and deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. After returning home, he pursued a career in technology while continuing his military service, ultimately combining his engineering mind with his love of storytelling to build the Alienthology universe. Today, he works as an engineer in the medical field and is developing several upcoming books that expand the cosmic world he created.
